Current Models: Zero Ball Loss (Beaudrey ZBLTM), Conventional

Zero Ball Loss Patent
: 1997

Applications and Uses: Online cleaning of heat exchangers and condensers which are subject to biological and/or mineral fouling.

Description: Rubber sponge balls are injected into circulating water (CW) flow at the inlet of a heat exchanger. The sponge balls are circulated through the heat exchanger tubes, where they mechanically remove fouling debris and scale that builds up on the tube surfaces.  Sponge balls are then collected at the condenser outlet by a  ball strainer and re-injected at the inlet to continuously maintain the cleaning process. Beaudrey's tube cleaning systems are designed for automatic and continuous operation and permanently eliminate the need for costly plant shut downs to conduct manual condenser cleaning and/or hydro-lancing.

Zero Ball Loss (ZBL) vs. Conventional Designs: Beaudrey was the first company to introduce a Zero Ball Loss design for sponge ball cleaning systems. Unlike grid strainer designs that can lose thousands of balls  to the environment, Beaudrey's ZBLTM tube cleaning system offers no path for ball escape.  Beaudrey is the only company to offer a Zero Ball Loss guarantee for online condenser cleaning systems.

Beaudrey SystemAdvantages:
- Prevents and removes fouling and scale build-up on condenser tubes
-
Ensures optimal heat transfer to maintain design steam side pressure
- Lowers fuel consumption
- Raises plant output to original design specifications
- Eliminates regular shutdowns forcostly manual tube cleanings
- Reduces chlorination usage and expense
- Extends condenser life
- Eliminate sponge ball loss to environment - EPA BTA
- Reduce sponge ball consumption and expense

Materials of Construction: Stainless or lined carbon steel
