Current Models: Beaudrey B.O.S.S  (Burst Operated Static Screen)

Description: The B.O.S.S. is a cylindrical wedge wire screen designed to provide (high volume - low flow velocity) submerged static screening for cooling water intakes.   The B.O.S.S. achieves intake velocities of less than 0.5 fps, qualifying it as a pre-approved 316b technology.  With no moving parts, the B.O.S.S. provides a low-maintenance alternative to traditional intake structure designs.

Applications: Intake screening structures in environmentally sensitive regions and//or for cooling water applications subject to EPA 316b fish mortality reduction requirements;  power plant once through cooling; ocean, river, lake, or reservoir source cooling.  The B.O.S.S can be used in either fresh water or salt water applications. 

Air Burst Cleaning System:  The B.O.S.S uses compressed air bursts to blow debris off the face of the wedge-wire when the screen becomes fouled.  The cleaning process is completely automated and requires no operator action.

Materials of Construction: 304L SS; 316L SS; Duplex SS; Cu-Ni alloys; Titanium.
